Hello, I am Grant Hinson, and it’s an honor to serve as the Mayor of Biscoe. As someone who grew up in this county and attended Montgomery County Public Schools, I am deeply committed to giving back to the community that helped shape me. My journey led me to earn a Master’s degree in the Art of Teaching from Pfeiffer University, then a Master’s degree in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Currently, I work as an English teacher and am completing an internship at East Montgomery Middle School to become a principal. If I am not at school or at the town hall, you may find me officiating a football, basketball, or baseball game for the North Carolina High School Athletic Association.

One of my greatest passions is creating opportunities for our youth, especially those who are underserved. I believe every young person deserves the chance to thrive, and as mayor, I am dedicated to engaging and supporting the most vulnerable members of our community. I’m proud to work alongside others who share this vision, striving to make our town a place where everyone feels empowered and valued.

On a personal note, I am engaged to my beautiful fiancée, Haley, who is also an educator. Together, we are committed to making a difference in our community and helping to shape a brighter future for everyone.
